First Food!

Unfortunatly for him, I made him eat prunes. Heck, he didn't care. I think he'd eat a steak if we'd let him. HE'S HUGE!!!!

Home Work

So, John and I have done a ton of work to our home. We, with the help of my mom and dad, replaced all the flooring on our bottom floor. This is our kitchen floor upgrade. We've loved it!

Who's this kid's mom?

So, I know I carried him - I was sick for 10 months. I know I gave birth to him - I did it with ZERO meds (I'd rather be drug underneath a car on hot asphalt than do that again!). But this kid is all John. Totally. There's not a hint of me anywhere on him. So my dad says to me, "I'm not even sure you're the mother"! LOL!!!!! I agree.

Wild Animal Safari - 2

Wild Animal Safari - 1

We went back to Wild Animal Safari so that we could take John, Lala, Auntie K and cousin Savannah. Colby decided she was some kind of longhorn, Lala was kissing all of the animals, and John was sure to have his towel ready for the slobber. All in all, everyone had a good time, and Colby had a wonderful time having her favorite people ride with her!

Mimi and Papa Visit!!

These people are insane! They spent 14 days in Europe on a cruise, the next day - flew up to spend the night with us - and two days later left for their mission trip in Hondourus. I bet they sleep for 2 weeks if they ever get home and stay there! We love our family!!!!

I Love My Kids!!

Man, it's taken me 6 years to get used to saying that I have a kid. Now I have to use the plural! Neat.

Yep, We Got In Trouble For This One

Colby was trying to get the baby to be in her picutre with Lala, but he was crying like crazy. So she, being an excellent big sister, grabbed one of her old passifiers and shoved it in his mouth. (I let her play with it for her baby dolls)
John walked in and saw us, and flipped out. lol. Oh well.

Colby's hysterical!

So our little girl is just about the funniest person I know. She's said so many funny things each day - here are just a couple.

We got her some new Hannah Montana panties for her birthday. Came in packs of 3. She came into the living room the other day - wearing all 3 pairs. One right on top of the other. She said to me, "mommy, tell me if you think this is a good idea. What if I wear all of these 3 pairs of panties and that way when I have to change into a new pair, I'll just take one off and have a new one on"! I wanted to bust out laughing! I told her it was a great idea and let her wear them that way for 2 days. All of her clothes were all bunched up over them. lol.

The other day, we had to have some work done on our cable. The little guy who came to work on it was younger with blond hair and very personable. She came downstairs while he was here and she was going to fix herself some cereal. I usually fix this for her. I got a bowl down for her and a spoon out . . . I got out the milk and was asking her if I could help her pour it. She looked at me so embarrassed and said, "Mommy! Act like I do this all the time by myself, while that boy is here"! I was cracking!!!

We were at Dicks sporting goods yesterday looking for some soccer shorts for Colby to wear this year. She asked me what size she wears and I told her a small. She got right up on my leg and so frustrated with me whispered, "Mommy, whisper my size"! I was trying not to loose it, so I bent down and whispered, "a small". lol.

And Snake Makes 29

Our home is full of life. We have 25 fish, 2 cats, 1 crazy dog - and now we have 1 pet snake! Here are some pictures of our newest addition, including the last picture, where the little snake is biting John. I can already tell he's going to be one of those cuddly pets.

JUST KIDDING! I know mom and dad are about to have a heart attack and are probably already down on their knees in prayer, asking God what's wrong with me!!!! lol. John found this little guy curled up under our dog house outside. He brought it in to show Colby - who never got close to it in any way and wanted it out of the house immediately. Buddy seemed to take to him, but I told him he couldn't keep it. lol. This place is a rotation of wildlife in the summers. Last summer we had a possum and a turtle. This year it's a snake. Gross.

Lala Visits!

Lala was able to come stay with us for a night and we loved every second of it! Both of my sisters make Colby feel so special and loved. There's nothing better, for me, than having my family in my home as often as possible!!

Neck Watch '08

I see that something is holding his head up. . . I just don't know what it is. lol.

No You Didn't!

So, Lala and Baily came to stay for a short visit - and we were so excited! We all love having them around. The next morning, Baily stayed outside for a few minutes so that she could go potty. When I opened the door to let her back in, she was covered in mud. I wondered where in the world she could have been - until I looked up. This is what I saw on our deck. Guess she's really a herbivore.
