Colby's writting in her "diary"

"Mommy, should I write 'Buddy poops in my room a lot', or 'Buddy pees in my room a lot', or 'Buddy pooped in my room once', or 'Buddy peed in my room'. The fact that she even asked me that - was disturbing. On so many levels. Really wrong. What the heck?! We've got to get rid of Buddy. We can't get rid of him. . . we love him. Either he gets the first doggie catheter, wears diapers, or we buy our own steam cleaner. Crap.

And now we're minus two

Two bunnies down - never again to be seen.
Can't say I'm sad. I'm not.
Actually jubilant. Might do some kind of "the freaking nasty bunnies are gone" dance.
Thinking about it.
Craigslist rocks.

Operation Christmas Child Boxes

Our church is packing up boxes for a mission that gives them to children in need all over the world. We take home a little shoe box, fill it with toys, and take it to church where they give them to the mission. Colby and I went and got some things for a 2-4 year old boy and for a 5-9 year old girl. Socks, under ware, toys, school supplies, toothbrushes, toothpaste, ect. As Colby was packing hers, she told me that she was going to take some of the things that we purchased for the boxes, out of the boxes and go get some of her own toys to give to them. I thought that was so sweet, so I let her do it. A few minutes later, she came downstairs with two little stuffed puppies. She asked me which one I thought she should put in her box. I told her which one I liked the best, and she leaned to my ear and said, "No matter which one I give them, I still going to be proud of myself". Me too. Me too.

You want to talk to Daddy?

Big John is out of town for work. He called to talk to Colby and she said she would let him talk to Christian. I caught her holding the phone out trying to get the baby to talk to him. Funny, cause that baby can't talk yet. hum.

Bunnies for sale

Thank goodness. . . . they are for sale. Now, she's had her bunny experience - it was a thrill a minute, but now that minute is over. I really couldn't be happier. Not at all.

Just the two of us. . .three of us. . . four of us.

If this kid doesn't grow up to be a vet, it's not because I didn't try.

K isn't allowed to watch my kids by herself.

And this is why.

Great "why list" forwarded to me!!

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That really hurt, why don't you watch where you're going?"

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

The statistics on sanity is that one out of every four persons are suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

Big John's B-ball game

Colby had to take a picture of Big John playing - which I'm sure he just loved. lol. We picked up her friend, Jenna, for her to play with at the game. He did wonderfully. Got fouled out after his 5 fouls - which he says is good strategy. Hum.

Stop it Auntie K!!

Why's K always gotta make me laugh so hard? And eat my own feet. What's up with that?!

of course I want the tee shirt!

What the heck?! You think I do 5K's all the time. GIVE ME THE FREAKING T-SHIRT!!!

Strong Legs Run

Laurie set up a group of people to run the 5K to benefit the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Everyone else in my family was going to do it, so I decided that Christian and I would do it too. What was I thinking?! The most exercise I get is walking through Target. Mom was nice enough to stay with me and push the baby. . . . up hill. . . . . after hill. . . . . .after hill.
I didn't just love the walk - but I did just love doing something with my family. The four of them do runs together all the time - and I often feel badly that I don't include myself. I'm glad I did this time!!!!

Neighborhood Trick or Treat

We all had a good time. The weather was nice, and Colby wore out quick - so we got to come home! lol. Tons of candy around the house now. Great. Just what I need, to get fatter.

Church Trunk or Treat

So everyone dressed up - even Buddy the nasty dog. Poor dog. I asked John to take his scary mask off for the pictures - but he wouldn't. Colby had a good time!

Colby's school Haloween party

Well, she ate a bunch of crap, played with her friends, helped to dress her teacher as a mummy and took a lot of pictures. Class parties are not the most fun I've ever had. . . but kids love them! lol.

Smile

She's a mess! She tried to put bunny ears on me for our picture.
I just noticed. She must have just been cracking up inside waiting for me to notice.
